I have spent over twenty-five years of my life as a professional photographer based in Manchester, the North West of England. I’m now based in the coastal town of Hornsea, in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Documentary projects share similar synergy with editorial work, relying on the same attention to detail, research and creative flair. Whether the project takes hours, days, weeks or even years to complete, I immerse myself in the story that needs to be told with commitment and dedication so that my clients key objectives and expectations are exceeded.
I apply the same ethos to my editorial photography, thus giving added value to clients in Marketing and Communication, PR, Publishing, Advertising and Design. My extensive commercial photography experience gives me valuable experience when working across a diversity of locations in equally diverse lighting conditions. I’m just as comfortable having to light a scene as I am when using available light. My commercial background has also given me the valuable skill of working with speed and efficiency. Equally important, I’m experienced in shooting for page layout and design parameters. My easy going, laid-back nature puts both my clients and subjects at ease resulting in a positive experience for everyone involved.
